Your financial data is among the most sensitive information you manage. Haven is designed from the ground up so that data stays with you — not us.
On-device storage Everything is stored on your device by default. All income, expense, asset, liability, and household data is saved using Apple's SwiftData framework directly on your iPhone or iPad. No accounts are required, no servers are involved.
iCloud sync iCloud sync is optional and private. If you choose to enable iCloud sync in Settings, your data is stored in your own private iCloud account — the same account used by Apple's built-in apps. This sync is encrypted by Apple and accessible only to you. Haven never receives a copy; we simply have no way to access your iCloud private database.
Your controls You control exactly what happens to your data. From Settings, you can switch between on-device and iCloud storage at any time. Switching back to local storage removes the data from iCloud entirely. You can export a full copy of your data as a portable file whenever you want. You can delete all data and conversation history at any time, permanently and irreversibly.
AI features AI features are stateless by design. If you use the AI chat assistant, messages are sent directly to the AI provider to generate a response and are not retained or logged by Haven. Conversation history is stored only on your device and can be deleted from Settings at any time.
Haven collects no analytics, no usage data, no telemetry, and no personally identifiable information. Your financial picture belongs to you.
